Вместе со спортсменами на старт гонки традиционно выйдут представители бизнеса, Администрации Санкт-Петербурга и журналисты.<br />Участники гонки должны будут преодолеть маршрут, проложенный по улицам города, последовательно: бегом, на велосипедах и на роликах. Кроме того, по ходу следования, участников соревнований ждут этапы, связанные с работой с веревками – переправы, спуски с высотных зданий, «тарзанки» и множество других не менее экстремальных испытаний. Преодолевая маршрут, участники гонки могут полагаться только на собственные силы. Всякая поддержка со стороны строго запрещена правилами соревнований. Общая протяженность маршрута – около 60 километров.<br />Начало истории масштабных городских приключенческих гонок было положено в 2004 году, на первой «Saint-Petersburg Urban Race». С тех пор гонка стала проводиться ежегодно. Из наиболее запоминающихся моментов прошедших соревнований можно выделить технический этап в «Ленинградском Зоопарке» в вольере белых медведей, куда участники попадали, карабкаясь по гранитной стене, спуск по веревкам с трубы заброшенной ТЭЦ, спуск с 40-метровой стрелы башенного крана, этап ориентирования в подземной реке, расположенной под Ржевским лесопарком, технический этап на ледоколе «Красин», подъем по веревочным лестницам на стрелу автокрана, установленного на Дворцовой площади, веревочные переправы через канал Грибоедова вместе с велосипедом и многое другое.<br />В этом году гонка перемещается в абсолютно новый район проведения. Urban Race пройдет по городам Пушкин и Павловск. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Спасибо организаторам за проведенную гонку! Участвовали в таком мероприятии первый раз, только во втором дне соревнований, команда &quot;Протест&quot;. Хоть и заплутали в лесу и болоте, хоть и набрали всего 21 очко, хоть и заняли четвертое место из четырех в своей категории, НО все понравилось, мы отлично провели время!) Несмотря на соревновательный характер, везде витает дружеская атмосфера, что очень приятно.
